In September of 2018, my brother and I ventured to the WWI Dawn Patrol Rendezvous at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. On display both on the ground and in the air were replica WWI aircraft from both sides of the conflict. The airframes were period correct, but they utilized modern general aviation engines. The event included various displays of period automobiles, remote control airplanes, and character actors.
