The Glade Creek Grist Mill is one of the most photographed images from West Virginia in the world. On my recent trip to the Appalachian String Band Festival, I took the time with brothers and sister to visit this historic site. In my early years working at my parent’s photofinishing business, the images of this structure would be processed and viewed many times much like the Washington Monument. However, to view in person was a special treat and having my brother along who had visited this site many times, was like having our own private tour guide. More information regarding this landmark can be found at the West Virginia Parks website.
